At Student Leadership Discovery (SLD), we offer two distinct resources designed to help students discover their God-given purpose, develop effective leadership skills, and connect with professionals:
SLD Community Seminars
Guest expert speakers address specific topics to help students’ personal development from a biblical worldview. We invite all junior and senior high school students to our SLD Community Nights, so please spread the word and invite your friends. These are free events.
SLD Lead Workshops
These workshops begin with a meal, followed by icebreakers and discussion groups. They feature guest presenters who share their stories and insights into leadership, covering a range of leadership skills and perspectives.
The SLD LEAD program provides students with mentorship, self-evaluations, internships/shadowing opportunities, and community. At the end of the year, SLD LEAD students receive a certificate and a binder containing leadership curriculum, a compilation of service hours, and a summary of professional connections. The LEAD program also provides opportunities for national leadership conferences and international mission trips.
